And more good news…

I’m on a roll here!  I got confirmation of another show for the month of November at Cafe Que Tal in the Mission, San Francisco. I had a show there two years ago, when I first started showing my photographs, so I am really happy to go back with more new work. I will post all the information here when we get closer to the date, in case someone wants to drop by!

Mary Ellen Mark

I am very excited to tell you that I am going to attend a Portfolio Review with the legendary Mary Ellen Mark! Thanks to Fotovision, we will get to spend a whole day with her, learn, listen to her stories and share work with other photographers and see what they are doing.

The event will take place on May 2nd, so stay tuned for my comments on the one-of-a-kind experience. I have my friend Teresa’s wedding that same day… so hopefully I won’t run into any cops on 880! :)

And another change…

Well, I love Obama… so I’m also into change :)  I was still not convinced about how the photos were displayed, and kept researching for templates until I found this one. Photos look great and don’t get cropped. They are against a gray background, so I’m very happy with it. I have to make some small modifications to colors and fonts, but all in all, I’m satisfied. I hope you like the new look, and check out my new photos!

Moffett Field

My friend Lenny and I went to Moffett Field last night. He is working on a series on old military bases, and I thought it would be a good addition to my work. I am not decided what I’m doing with them – yet – but it is fun to go there, shoot with my friends and while we are shooting (Lenny shoots film, so he has 20 minutes exposures sometimes!) talk about projects, plans and upcoming trips or just life.

These images are RAW and haven’t been post processed yet, but I thought I would share them with you… well, just a handful of them!

Tribute to Dorothy’s tree

Last Saturday, I went shooting with my friends Dorothy and Robert. Dorothy has been working on a portfolio with images from the Sunol Creek, so Robert and I went there to meet all the subjects ;) and loved Dorothy’s favorite tree. And as I had seen her tree in some of her photos before, I thought I’d photograph it and do it justice. I hope I did!

I resumed shooting…

Hola!

After three weeks gone, and two weeks catching up, I resumed shooting for my night series last Sunday. Here’s one photo I really like, but that I need to reshoot… let’s say that it was not the most comfortable spot (climbed on a plant pot with one leg on a fence and the other one on the pot… not good!), so I’m going to reshoot a lot of my photos this coming weekend. I will post more photos soon.
